Objective
To develop a cohesive approach to gateways to the city that:

Promotes characteristics and values that are distinctively Hamilton

Guides the application of the Road Reserve Planting Strategy or succeeding document

Defines the boundary of the city and provides a sense of arrival there
-
Creates a sense of place at each gateway which has a distinct character and identity relevant to each site
-
Provides scope for development and management of the city’s gateways to ensure their adaptability and longevity.
