Park management plans

Minogue Park

Hamilton city has over 200 parks and reserves within its boundaries! These range from large sports parks such as Porritt Stadium and Galloway Park to small neighbourhood reserves like Union Park and beautiful destination areas such as Hamilton Gardens, Claudelands Park and Memorial Park as well as ecological havens alongside the Waikato River and at Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park. The Reserves Act 1977 requires all recreation parks to have a Management Plan that describes their use, development and management directives with input from the community. Some management plans cover a large number of parks, and some cover a single reserve. The following are current, up-to-date, management plans for various parks and reserves in Hamilton.
