Objective
The objectives of the External Funding Applications Policy are:
- To ensure a co-ordinated and planned approach regarding Hamilton City Council funding applications to external funding agencies.
- To guide staff on what applications need to go to the Funding Applications Subcommittee for approval.
Policy
All external funding applications that meet any of the following criteria must be brought to the Funding Applications Subcommittee for approval:
- a Council resolution is required by the funders; or
- the application is for an LTCCP project that is unfunded or partially unfunded; or
- the application seeks funding over $20,000
For requests for funding under $20,000, staff have the discretion to make applications for external funding
All external funding applications that do not meet any of the above criteria, are to be notified to the Funding Subcommittee via the Community Development Unit’s Community Resources Advisor, every quarter.
