Hamilton provides a wonderful opportunity for geocaching, with caches in locations that will enable the geocacher with the opportunity to enjoy our terrific city.
Geocaching is an exciting outdoor game in which players use a handheld GPS unit to find hidden treasure, called “caches”.
Caches can be found in some of the city’s cultural and historic sites, at major attractions and in our many beautiful parks. There are caches beside the Waikato River, along our walking and cycling routes and at Hamilton Gardens. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
This site lists many of the geocaches in Hamilton that are on public land. For convenience the geocaches are grouped into three themes. To view all the caches in each theme, click links below, and then the GC Code for selected caches.
