The NZAEE promotes environmental education initiatives at both a national and regional level and has branches in all regions across New Zealand. NZAEE coordinates Seaweek at the national level, frequently hosts workshops and forums, and is an active participant in a number of initiatives including the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. The Association also serves in an advisory capacity on an array of environmental education issues.
The Waikato branch of NZAEE operates at a regional level to provide information evenings, workshops and field trips to highlight environmental education projects in the Waikato. The branch also convenes an annual environmental education showcase event, and hosts the Youth Environment Forum in the Waikato. |
