Applications Subcommittee – Staff Committee
Reporting to: Statutory Management Committee
Role: To consider and resolve as expediently as possible all minor planning matters where there is agreement of all parties involved in the application.
Members:

- The General Manager Environmental Services or one or two nominees
- The General Manager Community Services or one nominee
- The General Manager Works and Services or one nominee, with a quorum of three members
- Chairperson Statutory Management Committee (ex officio)

Reporting to: Council
Role: To maintain an overview of the performance of the Chief Executive.

Community Well-being Grant Allocation Subcommittee
Reporting to: Community and Environment Committee
Role: To disburse community well-being grants on behalf of Council.
Members:
- Chairperson Community and Environment Committee (Chairman)

- 5 community representatives appointed for a 3 year term (term expires 2010)

Contracts Subcommittee
Reporting to: Finance and Audit Committee
Role:
- To approve all contracts for supply and services and revenue generating contracts in excess of the delegated sum ($500,000 excluding GST) and when the amount of work involved in a decision not to go to tender exceeds $100,000 (GST excluded)
- Supply and services excludes all transactions involving the acquisition, disposal or exchange of land.

- Chairperson Finance and Audit Committee (Chairperson)
- Deputy Chairperson City Development Committee
- Deputy Chairperson Community and Environment Committee
- Deputy Chairperson Transport Committee

Event Sponsorship Subcommittee
Reporting to: City Development Committee
Role: To evaluate and make decisions on which events should receive Event Sponsorship Funding and to what value as per Council policy.
Members:

- Representatives from the community at large:
- Paul Goddard
- * The appointment were made mid-term of the last Council, with the intention of reviewing the representatives mid-term this Council.
Meets: Three times per year.

Funding Applications Subcommittee
Reporting to: Community and Environment Committee
Role: To recommend to the Community and Environment Committee:
- funding applications to external funding organisations

Passenger Transport Subcommittee
Reporting to: Transport Committee
Role: To recommend to the Transport Committee:
- new and altered Hamilton passenger transport routes, timetables and related issues
- passenger transport infrastructure provision
- passenger transport promotional campaigns
- passenger transport policy issues
- funding for the above
- make recommendations on matters arising from comments and complaints received about Hamilton passenger transport from passengers and the public
- advocacy of Hamilton passenger transport strategy
