- A street race is significantly different to a circuit race. The whole town experiences and shares in the carnival-type atmosphere that will be generated
- Racing and practise will take place between 8.30am and 6pm each day of the event weekend
- A full programme of racing including support categories will take place on each race day
- Number of spectators for 2011 were over 100,000 over 3 days

- The Frankton business district will be accessible for pedestrians and vehicles throughout the event via the Massey Street overbridge
- All fencing and barriers will meet stringent safety standards set by all associated motorsport controlling bodies, being MSNZ, CAMS and FIA (Federation International de I'Automobile)
- The circuit will be lined on both sides with pre-cast reinforced concrete barriers with a debris/safety fence on top. The concrete barriers are 1m high and the safety/debris fence on top is another 1.5m
- A safety area 3m wide will be fenced off behind all barriers to prevent public access
- The entire circuit will be security fenced to control public access
- At each of the main corners a run-off area will be created for cars that do not make the turn
- The barriers and fencing are all transportable and will be moved to the track on flat deck trucks and lifted into place with hiab or fork truck. Most barriers will sit on the road kerb
- 32 temporary pit garages and the race control complex will be built along the south side of Mill Street.
