Community Outcome:	Sustainable and Well-Planned An attractive city that is planned for the well-being of people and nature, now and in the future.

Objective

To participate as an active member of ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives).

Policy

That Council actively participates in specific programmes managed by, and as a member of ICLEI. In particular, Council to join the Communities for Climate Protection (CCP) - New Zealand Programme and undertake to achieve the five agreed milestones over the next three years.
