Objective

To achieve a land use and transport system which maximises the benefits, and minimises the adverse effects of travel and transport, and encourages the use of a variety of transport modes.

Policy

Council will support the achievement of an integrated transport system in Hamilton through implementation of the "Strategy Actions" set out in the document "Hamilton's Integrated Transport Strategy" (July 1999), or any amendments to that document.

Review the H.I.T.S. Strategy with the community on a 3-yearly basis.
