Objective

To set fees and charges for community halls and similar facilities at market rates to optimise income while discounting fees and charges to maximise community use of facilities.

Policy

Hamilton City Council as the administering authority of community halls being available for casual hire by commercial interests and community organisations, will:

  • Set the fees and charges at current market levels, and
  • Reduce those fees and charges by 50% for non-profit-making community organisations.
