ADOPT A DOG

Animal Education and Control Centre

Dog adoptions are a way to re-home suitable dogs with responsible dog owners. Dogs available for adoption can be viewed at the Animal Education and Control Centre or below.

  • A 3.5kg bag of Iams Dog Food comes free with every dog adopted - sponsored by 'Masterpet' The pet authority.

While we update this page regularly, we cannot guarantee that all dogs featured on this page are available. They may already have found a new home. We advise that you phone the Hamilton City Council Animal Education and Control Centre kennel staff to check before you visit - 07 838 6664

You can check www.petsonthenet.co.nz for more photos of our adoption dogs.

Adoption Costs:

$190 (without a community services card) or $160 (with a community services card). This covers registration, desexing, and microchipping of the dog. Puppies under 6 months old will also be given their first vaccination (parvo & kennel cough) - an extra $30 will be charged for this service.
