'I started working for Hamilton City Council in 2001 after finishing my degree at Waikato University. During my study years, I had heard good things about HCC and its reputation as a highly regarded organisation to work for.
My first position in Council was in a customer service and administration role. For the last four years I have been working as a Team Leader in the same unit, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
The next step in my career with HCC is a move to a Policy Analyst role, which I am excited to be starting very shortly.
I feel fortunate to have begun my career with Council. I have had many opportunities to get involved across the organisation, to increase my skills and knowledge and progress my career.
I also work with a great bunch of people who enjoy each other's company, and regularly get together for social activities.
