Enviroschools

Imagine...a generation of innovative and motivated young people, who instinctively think and act sustainably.

Enviroschools, a programme aimed at creating sustainable schools was launched in December 2001 after an initial pilot starting in Hamilton in 1993. Enviroschools has now developed into a national programme and is being implemented in schools throughout the country.

Enviroschools is a whole school approach where staff, students and the wider school community work together to integrate environmental education into key areas of school life. The school is supported by an Enviroschools facilitator.
