buildWaikato
The buildWaikato website is a joint intiative of the Waikato Building Consent Group, a cluster of five councils (Waikato, Waipa, Matamata Piako and Otorohanga district councils and Hamilton City Council) that are working together to bring consistency to the Building Consent process. On buildWaikato you have quick and easy access to information regarding your building and consents requirements common across the five councils. Whether you are a home handyman, residential builder, property developer and commercial developer - buildWaikato is for you.
This information portal covers everything from 'Do I need a building consent and how do I get one?' to environmentally sustainable housing (Eco-design) and answers to those building questions.
