Professional memberships
A number of our staff are eligible to have their memberships for professional organisations paid for by Council.
Training and development
Many sections within Council have very structured programmes for Graduates so that we can grow people who have little or no experience, into well-rounded employees. Learning and growing staff is important at Hamilton City Council and there are many aspects to our programme that we are very proud of.
Reward and recognition
Recognising the efforts our staff put into their work is important to us so we have a progamme in place that all staff are able to use. We also have a reward system which staff are able to nominate other staff for helping the organisation get closer to its Vision and Mission. We like our staff to know when they are doing a great job!
Tertiary study
Council supports staff in relevant tertiary study by allowing both time off during working hours to attend lectures or tutorials and by reimbursing staff when they complete their papers. This initiative is to provide support for staff to continue developing their academic qualifications. |
