How to pay a parking ticket
Payments for parking tickets can be made in person at Hamilton City Council, by post, or online.
Visit Do it Online - Pay Parking Infringement to pay your fine by credit card. You will need your infringement number with you.
Pay in person
You can make your payment at the Hamilton City Council Offices which is based in Garden Place (between Victoria Street and Anglesea Street) in Hamilton.
Pay by post
If you would like to post in a cheque, please send to: Hamilton City Council, Private Bag 3010, Hamilton 3240.
Pay by direct credit
You can make an online payment through your internet banking by using the information below. The Infringement Number and Registration Number must be in the correct spaces so that your payment can be matched up correctly with your infringement.

Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to pay my parking fine?
You have 28 days from the date your parking infringement ticket was issued to pay the fine.
What happens if I do not pay my parking infringement fine?
If you do not pay for your parking infringement fine within 28 days from the date the ticket was issued, a legal reminder notice will be sent out to you.
If the fine is not paid within a further 28 days, the fine will then be passed to the court for collection and an additional $30 gets added to your fine. This additional fee can increase by $100 if not paid within 28 days to the court.
What do I do if I want to appeal a parking ticket?
If you disagree with a parking infringement that has been issued to you, it is possible for you to appeal against it.
An appeal needs to be made in writing. You can complete an Explanation Form (PDF, 48KB) and outline why you wish to appeal your ticket.
