1.Hamilton City Council will not provide water or wastewater connections to urban standards to any properties outside the city's boundaries, with the exception of the existing agreements specified below. (Note: The provision of rural restricted water supplies to Waikato and Waipa District Councils is the subject of a separate policy - Rural Restricted Water Supply to Properties Located within Waikato and Waipa Districts.)

2.The following services are currently provided under Agreements that were approved by Council prior to the adoption of this policy:

  • Wastewater services to Assisi and Eventide Retirement Villages
  • Full urban water and wastewater services to the Ruakura Crown Research Centre
  • Full urban water and wastewater services to Innovation Park
  • Full urban water and wastewater services to Southcity Christian School, Whakawatea School, and Hamilton Zoo
  • Full urban or rural restricted water supply to various individual properties (refer schedule).

3.All the connections require compliance with the Council's Trade Waste Bylaw 1999 and the Water Supply Bylaw 1999, and subsequent amendments.

4.All charges will be in accordance with the Council's Annual Fees and Charges, or as set out within the individual agreements.
