Objective
To protect against dental caries by fluoridating Hamilton's water supply.
 
Policy
The concentration of fluoride in Hamilton's water supply will be adjusted to achieve a concentration of 0.7 to 1.0 mg/l of fluoride to provide protection against dental caries, as recommended by the Waikato District Health Board and the Ministry of Health.
