Posted On: Friday, 2 December 2005

Winners of the Hamilton Civic Trust Awards have been released ahead of the official ceremony on Wednesday, 7 December 2005 at 2pm in the Council Chambers.

The awards recognise those who have made a positive contribution to the environment of Hamilton so all residents can enjoy a better quality of life.

Trust president Maurice Boswell says the awards appear to be enjoying a growing recognition in Hamilton.

"This is the 31st anniversary of the Civic Trust Awards and it's pleasing to note on this occasion that the awards are gaining increasing profile within Hamilton city. Through the awards, the Civic Trust aims to further develop Hamilton and its environment.

"The impetus behind the awards is to recognise the many individuals, organisations and groups who are working hard in our community to make Hamilton a great place in which to live, work and play. The city is grateful for these outstanding efforts and Council's support and participation in the awards ceremony really adds to the occasion."

The following table lists the winners in this year's five trust award categories:

Aaron Court Motel Renovation/Redevelopment Award
