Heavy rainfall overnight has put continued pressure on the city's storm and wastewater network today. Many areas of the city have been affected, with flooding causing the closure of Aberdeen School in Frankton. All flooding issues are being responded to by Council staff as they arise. As a result of continued heavy rain overnight the Waikato River has reached the 15m level in the city. Water levels have reached walkways in some areas and subsequently large sections of walkways around the river will be closed.
