Summer water consumption in Hamilton is expected to be high with the possibility of another hot, dry summer. A public electoral systems workshop on the STV voting system will be held at 7pm on Monday, 28 November in the Council Reception Lounge. A date has now been set for second round NRL action in Hamilton and on Saturday, 18 March at 7.30pm the Pirtek Parramatta Eels will face the Vodafone Warriors at Waikato Stadium. Council is currently upgrading the Water Treatment Station in Peacockes Road. The upgrade has been signalled as a high priority from residents, especially since the algae bloom in the summer of 2002/03.
